Every person’s breast cancer journey is different and some will feel more pain than others. Cancer treatments like surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy are some reasons why you may be experiencing pain and even though your treatment may be over, you might continue to feel pain. There are a number of different reasons why, such as damaged tissues or nerves or lymphedema.


There are treatments available to help manage your pain like medicines, medical therapies and physical, psychological or complementary treatments. Some cancer centres may also have specialized doctors and nurses that can help. Talk to your health care team to learn more about managing your pain.
